VINTON:  Arlene Marilyn Ohrt, 78, of Waterloo and formerly of Vinton and Dysart, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at her Waterloo residence following a sudden illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Phillips Family Center, 605 2nd Ave., in Vinton with Rev. Ronald Sumption officiating.  Interment will be held at the Pratt Creek Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 AM until service time on Saturday.
     Arlene was born June 11, 1928 at Garrison to Albert John and Mildred (Smith) Ohrt and graduated from the Vinton High School.  She worked at the Telephone Office in Vinton and was a care-giver for her parents.  She also worked at the nursing home in Dysart.  For many years she was a care-giver for Wesley Lindman.  After moving to Waterloo she worked for Senior Companion in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area and retired in 2002.
     She is survived by her sister, LaVonne M. Ohrt of Charles City; her brothers, Vernon Ohrt of Montrose, MN, Keith (Stella Mae) Ohrt of Vinton, and Carl (Marilyn) Ohrt of Marion; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant brother; her brother, Russell; and her sister-in-law, Ilma Ohrt.
