VINTON: Bud Eugene Noble, 80, formerly of Waterloo and Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at his residence of complications of Parkinson's disease. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton with Pastor Garry Moore officiating. Interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Waterloo. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 AM until service time on Wednesday.
Bud was born October 4, 1927 at Waterloo to Ocsar A. and Edna (Swain) Noble. On December 16, 1950 he married Mildred Mitchell at Waterloo. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a Machinist at Cry-O-Vac in Cedar Rapids. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dysart. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mildred of Vinton; and one son, Michael of Dawsonville, GA; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. . He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Edna Noble; sons, Vernon, Wayne Eugene and Randall "Max" Noble; and brothers, Wesley, Eddie and Harold Noble.
