GARRISON: Clifford Nessler, age 90, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point following an extended illness.      To honor Clifford's request there will be no public services.  Private Family Services will be held at the Garrison Cemetery at a later date.  Phillips Funeral Home in Vinton is in charge of arrangements.      Clifford was born June 13, 1916 in Tama County to William and Martha (Miller) Nessler .  On March 11, 1944 he married Eleanor Crow at the Trinity Lutheran Parsonage in Vinton.  They resided in Garrison since.1950..  He was a self employed trucker until his retirement in 1979.      Clifford is survived by is wife of 63 years, Eleanor Nessler of Vinton; his son, Dennis (Sheila) Nessler of Golden, CO; his daughters, Linda (Mike) Streif of West Union, Susan (Tim) Fuch and Debra (Joe) Kruse, all of Vinton; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and his sister, Arlene (Raymond) Crowder of Rippey, IA.      His parents; his brothers, Raymond and Francis Nessler; and his sisters, Dorothy McNeal and Annabelle Wolf preceded him in death.
