KEYSTONE:  Candace "Candy" Schminkey, age 42, formerly of Belle Plaine, died February 25, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a sudden illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Keystone with Rev. Vern Coates officiating.  Private Committal Services will be held.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 AM until service time on Saturday.  A memorial fund has been established.
     Candy was born August 28, 1965 at Newport, VT to John Paul and Georgiana (LaClair) Labrecque and graduated from Lake Region High School in Orleans, VT.   On April 8, 1995 she married Theodore "Ted" Schminkey at Cedar Rapids.
     She is survived by her husband, Ted of Keystone; her sons, Justin Simmons of Belle Plaine, Joshua Simmons of Keystone, Timothee Schminkey of Walla Walla WA, and Anthony Schminkey of Keystone; her mother and step-father, Georgiana and Lloyd Chaffee of Glover, VT; three sisters, Monica (Harry) Blake of Orleans, VT, Lori Curtis (Frank Dwyer) of Sheffield, VT, and Faith (Quint) Prescott of Glover, VT; and her brothers, Mark (Virginia) Labrecque, and Artemus Chaffee of Barton, VT.
     She was preceded in death by her father; her sister, Lisa Dwyer; and her brother, Eric Chaffee.
