KEYSTONE:  Dawn King, age 83, formerly of Keystone, passed away, July 19, 2006 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown following an extended illness. 
     Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Keystone with Rev. Jena Manchester officiating.  Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, July 21.
     Dawn was born January 27, 1923 in Blairstown to Grant and Bess (Clewitt) Shuck.  She was married to Russell King December 31, 1940 in Blairstown.  Dawn served as the Librarian at the Schroeder Public Library in Keystone for many years.  She enjoyed quilting and was a member of Merkel-Bockholt American Legion Auxiliary in Keystone.
     She is survived by seven children, Ron (Marsha) King of Roswell, NM, Mike (Andrea) King of Benton, AR, Steve (Becky) King of Springville, CA, Cindy (Vern) Sample of Urbandale, Nick (Linda) King of Bakersfield, CA, Ted (Ruth) King of Lodi, Ca, Andrew (Allison) King of Dufur, OR; a sister, Hazel Christensen of Columbus, OH; twenty-one grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, her sister, Ethel Cunningham, and her brother, Donald Shuck.
     Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice.
