KEYSTONE:  Donald Lininger, 68, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Grinnell Regional Medical Center in Grinnell following an extended illness.
     To honor Donald's wishes, Private Services were held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Keystone with Rev. Dean Duncan and Rev. Michael Musick officiating.  Interment was held at the Luzerne Lutheran Cemetery.  Friends called at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Keystone from 9 AM until service time on Tuesday.
      Donald was born April 16, 1940 at Iowa City to Robert A. and Gladys (Davis) Lininger.
      On February 29, 1992 he married Arleta Linton at First Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine.  Donald was a retired farmer.
      He is survived by his wife, Arleta of Keystone; his step-son, Joe Bartosh of Keystone; his step-daughter, Vicki Kriegel and fiancé, Daniel Dietrich of Ladora; three step-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild.
       He was preceded in death by his parents; and two step-grandsons.
