VINTON:  Dorothy B. Fowler Radcliffe, age 90, died Monday, August 18, 2008 at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab in Vinton following an extended illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Vinton with Pastor Jim Blair officiating.  Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.  Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St, from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday.  A memorial fund has been established.
     Dorothy was born November 6, 1917 at Vinton to Charles H. and Beulah L. (Tilson) Fowler.  On July 8, 1936 she was united in marriage to Charles B. Radcliffe.   He preceded her in death on January 4, 1990.
     Dorothy enjoyed all local and professional sports events, especially the Chicago Cubs and Bears and Hawkeye Basketball and Football.  She always enjoyed tending her flower and vegetable gardens and was an avid fan of Television Soap Operas.
     She is survived by her sons, Chuck (Nancy) Radcliffe of Waller, TX, Jim (Marjorie) Radcliffe of Pompano Beach, FL, Tom (Fran) Radcliffe of Vinton, and Ron (Sandy) Radcliffe of Hockley, TX, eight grandsons; three granddaughter; twelve great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.
      In addition to her parents and husband; she was preceded in death by three sisters; and one brother.
