SHELLSBURG:  Delia "Dee" McClintock, 101, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital following an extended illness.
        Funeral Services will be held at10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel - 212 E. 6th St., in Vinton. Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 Pm on Tuesday.  A Memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society.
         Dee was born July 2, 1908 near Shellsburg the daughter of Andrew and Sophia (Carlson) Anderson.  She graduated from Shellsburg High School in 1926 and on December 25, 1933 she married Glenn McClintock and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1972. 
          As a member of the Presbyterian Church in Shellsburg she served several years on the Church Board.  For five years she served as a leader of the 4-H Club.and she enjoyed braiding rugs and refinishing furniture.  One of the highlights in her life was playing cards with her friends and family gatherings.
          She is survived by one son, Norman (Marcia) McClintock of Shellsburg; three grandchildren, Jo (Tony) Satariano of Marion, Wayne (Gina) McClintock of Charles City, Misti (Phil) Huedepohl of Swisher, and two step-grandchildren, Michelle (Andy) Hartman and Nicole King.  Also surviving are six great-grandchildren and two-step great- grandchildren.
           She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and four sisters.
