SHELLSBURG: Duane Eldon Mullinex, 76, of Maquoketa and formerly of Shellsburg, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Jackson County Hospital in Maquoketa following a brief illness. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at Phillips Family Center, 605 2nd Ave, in Vinton. Friends may call at the Family Center from 1 p.m. until service time. Duane was born September 5, 1935 in Mena, WI to Thomas F. and Lulu Mae (Pruett) Mullinex. He is survived by his children, Eric (Jessica) Mullinex of Cedar Rapids, Stacey Mullinex of Independence, and Stephanie Mullinex of Waterloo; and his sisters, Norma Coy of Shellsburg, June Breedlove of OK, and Imogene Shoemaker of Arizona.
