CEDAR RAPIDS-Elizabeth S. Harris, age 83, died Thursday, July 20, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a sudden illness.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E 6th St.) in Vinton with Rev. Bernard Reece officiating.  Interment will be held at Homer Big Grove Cemetery in rural Garrison.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 P.M. on Monday.
     Elizabeth was born on April 5, 1923 at Harrison Township in Benton County to John and Katharine (Banse) Suck.  On June 30, 1950 she married Calvin Loyal Harris at the Assembly of God Church in Vinton.  Elizabeth was a homemaker and an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Cedar Rapids.  She enjoyed quilting, cross-stitch, knitting, and crocheting.  She was also an accomplished craftsperson.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin; her daughter Jannett Morrin; two granddaughters, Rebecca (Daniel) Murray and Jessica Morrin all of Cedar Rapids; three great-grandsons, Jonathan Murray, Clayton Molyneux, and Calvin Molyneux; and three brothers, Albert Suck of Marion, Kenneth Suck of Bellevue, NE and Henry Zuck of LaPorte City.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial fund has been established.
