WILLIAMSBURG:  Ethel Mussman,  age 80, and a longtime resident of Marengo,died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg following an extended illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Phillips Family Center in Vinton where friends may call from 9 AM until service time. Pastor Carl Heck will officiate.  Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Sheffield.  A memorial fund has been established for Highland Ridge Care Center, 100 Village View Circle, Williamsburg, IA 52361.
     Ethel was a daughter of Walter and Ollie (Froning) DeVoe at Elberon where her father owned and operated the Walter M. DeVoe Lumberyard.  She graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1944 and then attended Paris Academy in Cedar Rapids and became a beautician.
     In 1947 she married Donald Arthur Mussman and they were married twenty-one years before divorcing.  To this marriage four children were born.
     She is survived by her children, Scott (Vicky) Mussman, Terry (Penny) Mussman, and Angey Alexander, all of Cedar Rapids, and Wayne (Jane) Mussman of Belle Plaine; her grandchildren, Ashley, Jeremiah, Brad, Wesley, Wayne Michael, Karris, Laura, and Tyler; her great-grandchildren, Abbigail, Blaine, and Noah; her sister, Evelyn Brockway of Brandon; and her niece, Mary Lou (Bill) Harrison of Urbana.
     She was preceded in death by her parents.
