NEWHALL: Edward Austin Enderle, 57, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, following a sudden illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, May 11, 2009 at Central Presbyterian Church in Newhall with Rev. David Snyder officiating. Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery in Keystone. Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone from 3 to 7 PM on Sunday. A Memorial Fund has been established.
Edward was born February 12, 1952 at Cedar Rapids to Edward and Lois (Krambaugh) Enderle and graduated from Benton Community High School in 1970.
For twenty-five years he owned and operated Fast Eddie's in Newhall and worked for the US Postal Service for nine years. Edward was a member of the Keystone Turners and played trumpet for the Keystone Legion Military Honors for over forty years. He was active with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, enjoyed motorcycling and was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan.
He is survived by his spouse of twenty-five years, Kim of Newhall; his children, Kristi (Brian) Osborn of Bremerton, WA, Larry (Tiffany) Enderle of North Keizer, OR, Patrick Enderle of Salem, OR and Andrew Enderle at home; his grandchildren, Sadie, Spencer, Sawyer, Nikki and Savannah; the sisters, Sharon (Ron) Snow of Fairfield Bay, AR, and Pam (Marty) Foreman of San Diego, CA; his step-brothers, John (Jeralyn) Kimm, and Joe (Corrine) Kimm, all of Blairstown; and his brother-in-law, Ray Griffin of Antioch, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Griffin.
To honor Ed's wishes the casket will remain closed at all times.
