SHELLSBURG: Faye Evelyn Deklotz, of Chandler Arizona and formerly of Shellsburg, died January 26, 2007 at Hospice Of The Valley in Mesa, Arizona following an extended illness.
     A Memorial Service will be held at 10AM Monday February 5, 2007 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E 6th St., in Vinton with Rev. Mark Leckband officiating. Committal Services will be held at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday.
     Faye was born May 18, 1923 at Van Horne to Clarence and Mae Hanna (Kraft) Erland and graduated from the Newhall High School. She attended Paris Cosmetology College and was a licensed beautician. On Nov. 18, 1943 she married Robert H. Deklotz at Shellsburg.
     The couple farmed and raised their family near Shellsburg and has made their home in Arizona the past eighteen years.  Faye was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shellsburg and enjoyed traveling, taking care of her flowers, and most of all spending time with friends and family especially her grandchildren.
     She is survived by her husband, Robert of Chandler, Arizona; her children, Dennis (Nancy) Deklotz of Shellsburg and Diane (David) King of Arizona; her grandchildren, Michael and Anthea King, Ann Goodell, Scott (Jill) Deklotz, and Nathan (Tanya) Deklotz, and four great-grandchildren, Brittany and Chelsea Goodell, Cody and Carley Deklotz.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Larry Deklotz, her brothers DeMont and Stanley Erland.
     A Memorial Fund has been established.
