NEWHALL   -  Grace M. Hoyt, age 88 died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Virginia Gay Hospital, Vinton following an extended illness. 
    Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, May 19, 2007, St. John Cemetery in Newhall with Rev. Steven Rempfer officiating.  Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton from 6 to 8:30 PM on Friday.
     Grace was born July 12, 1918 near Blairstown to John and Minnie (Sandersfield) Wiebold.  On August 29, 1936 she married Dale Hoyt at Van Horne.  The couple farmed and moved to Newhall in the late '60.  Her husband preceded her in death in 1981.
     From 1966 to 1967 she was employed as a Nurse's Aid at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids and then was employed as a machinist at Rockwell Collins until her retirement.
     Grace is survived by her son, Larry (Debbie) Hoyt of Baraboo, WI; her daughters, Gail (Cleo) Gentz of Cedar Rapids and Elaine (Jim) Sutton of Shellsburg; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
     In addition to her parents and husband, Grace was preceded in death by her son, Keith Allen Hoyt; her brother, Ervin Wiebold and her two sisters, Roma Cole and Ella Wiebold.
