BLAIRSTOWN:   Gordon H. Wiebold, 87, died October 2, 2009 at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo following an extended illness.

        Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown with Rev. David Rempfer officiating.  Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.  Visitation will also be held at the church in Blairstown from 4 to 7 PM on Monday. 

        Gordon was born January 7, 1922 at Good Thunder, MN to Edward and Anna (Furler) Wiebold.   Gordon has been a resident of Blairstown since the age of sixteen.

        On August 16, 1942 he was united in marriage to Lillian Heitshusen at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.  She preceded him in death on March 28, 2007.

        Gordon was a life long farmer prior to his retirement.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and in his leisure he loved fishing.

         He is survived by his son, Garth Wiebold of Blairstown. 

         In addition to his parents and wife, Lillian, he was preceded in death by three sisters; and one brother.

         Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown is in charge of arrangements.
