VINTON:  Grace Karr, 100, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehab of complications of old age.

     Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton with Rev. Greg Collins officiating.            

Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:30 to 7 PM on Tuesday.      

     Grace was born August 28, 1909 at Pittsville, WI to Bruce and Anna (Petersen) Enfield.  She was a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church in Vinton.  She was devoted to her family.   In her younger days, she loved planting and caring for her garden and she also loved to read.

     She is survived by her son, William "Bill" (Nelda) Karr of La Porte City, her daughters, Suzanne (Larry) Kotouc of Garrison and Marion (Lynn) Geiger of Vinton; her daughter-in-law, Kathe Karr of Vinton; twenty grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Fred (Ruth) Enfield , and her sister-in-law, Kay Enfield all of Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Donald F. Karr, and Charles "Chuck" Karr; her daughter, Nancy Karr Kruse; her son-in-law, Duane Kruse; and her daughter-in-law, Irene Karr; two grandsons, Raymond and John Kruse; and her brother, John Enfield.
