VINTON:  Hazel E. Bell, age 101, died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Rev. Tom Hartwell officiating. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.   Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 AM until service time on Saturday. 
     Hazel was born March 4, 1906 at Vinton to Fred and Mary (Clark) Schoonover and graduated from Lincoln High School in Vinton.  In 1929 she married Charles E. Bell who preceded her in death in 1954. 
     She was a member of the Assemble of God Church in Vinton and enjoyed flowers, gardening, dancing, traveling, and her family.  Hazel collected salt and pepper shakers and Avon Plates and was a member of the Eagles Club in Cedar Rapids.
     Hazel is survived by her sons, Robert Robertson of Burbank, CA and Ralph (Joan) Bell of Mechanicsville; her daughter, Delores Price of Cedar Rapids; fifteen grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Sylvia Schoonover of Vinton.
     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Clarence "Bud" Bell and Ray Bell; her daughter, Roberta McAndrews; and two brothers, George and Leo Schoonover.
