VINTON:  Hilda Klostermann, age 92, died Friday, June 30, 2006 at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness.
     A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM, Monday, July 3, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton with Father Walter Kleinfehn as Celebrant.  Interment will be held at 2:30 PM at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Dyersville.  Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th Street, in Vinton from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday where a Vigil Service will begin at 5 PM. 
     Hilda was born May 30, 1914 at Balltown, IA to John and Cecelia Link.  On April 8, 1942 she married Joe Klostermann  at Balltown.  The couple lived in Vinton most of their married life.  Joe preceded his wife in death on
October 12, 1978.
_     She is survived by her son, Robert (Janie), Tama; her daughter, Marilyn (Craig) Canaday, Clinton; her brothers, John (Velma) Link, and Ed (Carmelita) Link; and  her sister, Florence Ernzen, all of Dubuque and her six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Sylvester and Carl Link.
