VAN HORNE: Hulda L. Stueck, age 90, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Vinton Lutheran Home following an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, October 30, 2006 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Van Horne with Rev. David Lindenberg officiating. Interment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids at 2 PM on Monday. Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Keystone from 3 to 6 PM on Sunday. A Memorial Fund has been established.
Hulda was born October 5, 1916 at Willow Springs, MO to Henry and Anna (Kaestner) Seboldt. Her family later moved to Benton County Iowa.
On November 17, 1940 she married Lorenz C. Stueck at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Van Horne. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1993.
As a faithful member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Van Horne, Hulda enjoyed membership in the Missionary Society, served as a Sunday School Teacher, and was a choir member. She loved to cook and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies. She also enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
Hulda is survived by her son, Larry (Delores) Stueck of Van Horne, her daughters, Joyce Mae (Dennis) Andresen of Keystone, and Jean (Dennis) Haberhern of North Royalton, OH; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ernst Seboldt of Vinton and Albert (Leone) Seboldt of Van Horne.
In addition to her husband, and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Frieda Garbers; and three brothers, George, Otto, and Karl who died in infancy.
