URBANA:  Irene F. Fish, age 87, died Monday, May 22, 2006 at her son's home in Round Rock, TX following an extended illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 26, 2006 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Pastor Tom Felts officiating.  Interment will be held at the Urbana Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 P.M., on Thursday.
     Irene was born February 3, 1919 at LaPorte City to Morris Conrad and Delia Mae (Lacrosse) Eckhart.  In 1951 she married Laurence A. "Red" Fish and the couple made their home in Urbana.  Her husband preceded her in death in 2000.
     Irene was a member of the Urbana Legion Auxiliary and the Fairest Chapter of O.E.S. in Fairfax.  She was a loving mother, and grandmother who enjoyed beautiful flowers.
     She is survived by her sons, Lawrence "Richard' (Helen) Dixon of Belle Plaine, and Ron (Terri) Fish of Round Rock, TX; her grandchildren, Lori (Jim) Bridgewater of Belle Plaine, Jeramy (Joy) Fish of Urbana, and Jason Fish of Cedar Rapids; her great-grandchildren,  Candace (Brent) Barfield, Tessa Lastovka, Ashley Lastovka, Harmony Bridgewater, Will Fish and Jordan Fish; her great-great granddaughter, Elizabeth Barfield; her brothers, Don (Arlene) Eckhart of Vinton, Lloyd Eckhart of Williamsburg, George (Nelda) Eckhart of Vinton, and Charles Eckhart of Waterloo; her sister-in-law, June Eckhart of Van Horne; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mae McNamee, and Mabel Bray; and her brother, Robert M. Eckhart.
