BLAIRSTOWN:  Irma M. Wooten, 77, was called home to the Lord Thursday, April 9, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a sudden illness.
      Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown with Rev. David Rempfer officiating. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.  The visitation will be held at the church from 3 to 7 on Monday.      
      She was born June 16, 1931 in Omaha, NE to Fritz and Frieda (Schaffer) Walpus, and graduated from South Omaha High School.  In July, 1955 she married Carroll M. Wooten in Omaha.  She has lived in the Blairstown area most her of life and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
      Survivors include her daughters, Debra (Steve) Hacker, Marengo, Susan (Kevin) Hagen, Keystone, Nancy Engelking, Blairstown and friend, Larry Lorenz, and Sharon (Thomas) Brehm, Urbana; her grandchildren, Matthew (Jodi) Hacker, Atkins, Nicole (David) Hofmann, Phoenix, AZ, Michael Hagen, Keystone, Mindy, Julia, John, and Jared Engelking, Blairstown, Crystal (Mark) Manos, Cedar Rapids, Samantha Brehm, Urbana; two great-grandchildren, Trey and
Shea Hofmann.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll Wooten; her granddaughter, Anny Engelking; and her sister, Trudy Johnson.
