SHELLS BURG - Juanita Becker, age 66, died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Brother, Richard "Skip" Johnson officiating.  Interment will be held at Parkers Grove Cemetery near Shellsburg.  Visitation was held from 6 to 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
     Juanita was born March 5, 1941 to Earl and Louise (Seymour) McClain at Vinton.  She graduated from the Vinton High School and attended Kirkwood Community College.
     On June 16, 1979 she married Robert G. Becker at Cedar Rapids.  They made their home in Shellsburg.  Robert preceded his wife in death on June 7, 2005.
     Juanita was an administrator at Wells Fargo in Des Moines.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Marion.
     She is survived by her son, Joseph E. (Sandy) Kearns of Baltimore, MD; her daughters, Carol L. (John) Gibbs of Vinton, and Julie A. (Scott) Rouse of Omaha; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her brother, Dale (Shirley) McClain of Vinton.
     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Hofer; and her sister, Rosemarie McKnight.
