KEYSTONE:  Louis James Kapucian, age 82, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center of Parkinson's Disease.

      Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Keystone with Chaplain Bev Thompson-Travis officiating.  Interment will be held at the Keystone Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday.  A Memorial Fund has been established.

     Louis was born May 24, 1924 at Elberon to John and Emma (Pavlicek) Kapucian.  On November 4, 1950 he married Betty Junge at Cedar Rapids.

     From December of 1944 to November of 1946 he served his nation in the US Army in the Phillippines.

     Louis farmed until his retirement and was a member of the Merkel-Bockholt American Legion Post #107 of Keystone; and the Keystone Turners.  In his leiusre he enjoyed fishing in Canada, hunting, dancing and traveling.

     Louis is survived by his wife, Betty of Keystone; his son Tim Kapucian of Keystone, and his brother and sister-in-law, Emil and Betty Kapucian of Cedar Rapids.

     His parents preceded him in death.
