GARRISON:  Marjorie M. Lockard, age 89, of Westminster, CO and formerly of Garrison and Cedar Rapids, died Monday, January 22, 2007 at Life Care in Westminster, CO following a short illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 27 , 2007 at the Phillips Family Center in Vinton, 605 2nd Avenue, with Rev. Jan Ziskovsky officiating.  Interment will be held at Geneseo Cemetery, rural Dysart.  Friends may call at the Family Center  from 5 to 8 PM on Friday.  A Memorial Fund has been established.
     Marjorie was born December 29, 1917 at rural Dysart, Iowa to George and Ruth (Mealhouse) Hayes and graduated from Geneseo High School.
     On June 1, 1937 she married F. Earl Lockard at the Geneseo Church.
     During World War II, the couple lived in Chula Vista, CA. and moved to Garrison in 1945.  Earl and Marjorie operated the Hardware store in Garrison until 1964.  In 1967, the couple moved to Cedar Rapids, where Marjorie worked in food service at St. Lukes Hospital.  Marjorie later moved to Colorado to be near her family.
     She is survived by her two daughters, M. Earleen Bennett of Albuquerque, NM, Inez Zahner and her husband Allen of Arvada, CO, her son-in-law Larry Faulkner of Golden, CO., six grandchildren, two step-grandsons and thirteen great grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl in 1995, her daughter Vera Faulkner and her son-in-law Bill Bennett, two sisters, Charlotte and Maebelle and her brother Loren.
