GARRISON:  Nancy A. Grau Meyers, age 66, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 28, 2008 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Rev. Lanette Van officiating.  Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday.  A Memorial Fund has been established.
     Nancy was born August 19, 1941 at Vinton to William A. and Helen B. (Johnson) Grau.  On June 1, 1957 she married Conrad L. Meyers at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
     Nancy was employed by the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School in Vinton for nine years and also at area nursing homes.  She attended Kirkwood Community College and studied Horticulture.  Nancy enjoyed crafts, camping and traveling and loved animals.  Her grandchildren were the "love of her life".
     She is survived by her husband, Conrad of Garrison; her daughter, Peggy (Mark) Cole of Lomax, IL; her sons, Brett Meyers of Vinton, and Barry and Chris Meyers, both of Garrison; her grandchildren, Ashley Dvorak, Jordon L. Meyers, and Bryce Meyers; her brother, Tom Grau of Stronghurst, IL; her sister, Deanna (John) Holstein of Dallas City, IL; her brother-in-law, Blane (Patty) Cornell of Urbana; her sister-in-law, Anne (Robert) Towne of Spokane, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents.
