VINTON - Oval Dronebarger, age 92, died  Sunday, July 15, 2007 at Rock Ridge Care Center in Shellsburg following an brief illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Rev. Sam Dronebarger officiating.  Interment will be held at the Walker Cemetery in Walker.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday.  A Memorial Fund has been established for the Hospice of St. Luke's.
     Oval was born September 10, 1914 near Palo to Lemuel Lewis and Mary (Morris) Dronebarger.  On June 2, 1938 he married Hallie Smith at Iowa City and they were later divorced.  She preceded Oval in death in June of 1997.  Oval married Evelyn (Franka) Drinovski on April 25, 1974 at Fairfax and she preceded him in death on April 25, 1997.
      Oval began his thirty-six year farming career with a team of horses and farmed in the Walker and Center Point area. For twenty-nine years he was employed at Iowa Manufacturing in Cedar Rapids retiring in 1976.  Oval loved his cabins in Vinton and Minnesota where he enjoyed sitting in his recliner, watching birds, fishing and boating. His favorite companion was his cat, Tiger.
     Oval is survived by his children, Patsy (G. N. "Butch") Neumeyer of Walker, Carol (Clair) Williamson of Cedar Rapids and Sam (Kathy) Dronebarger of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Rev. Steve (Faye) Neumeyer of Oelwein, Greg (Debbie) Neumeyer of Cedar Rapids, Vicki (Scott) Remington of Houston, TX, Scott (Deb) Williamson of Cedar Rapids, and Elliot Dronebarger of Norfolk, VA; and his great-grandchildren, Amber, Drake, Paige and Braden Remington of Houston, TX, Katie and Matt Neumeyer of Cedar Rapids, and Amy Williamson of Cedar Rapids.
     In addition to his wives and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
