URBANA - Ruby Henry, age 91, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Virginia Gay Annex following an extended illness.
     Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, April 2, 2007 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St., with Rev. David Gates officiating.   Interment will be held at the Urbana Cemetery in Urbana.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Activity Dept. of the Annex in Vinton.
     Ruby was born May 22, 1915 in Palo County to Edward and Cora (Spicer) Burt.  On November 17, 1938 she married Delbert C. Henry at Anamosa   He preceded Ruby in death on October 17, 1998.
      A busy mother of six children, Ruby loved to cook and embroider. She enjoyed canning and freezing the produce from her garden.  Ruby also loved nature and enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting.
       While living at the Annex she was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed the Bible studies.  She also found joy in the crafts and activities at Annex.
      She is survived by her children, Pat (Don) Routson of Marion, Delberta Seltrecht of Cedar Rapids, Dennis (Shirley) Henry of Urbana, and Donna (Russell) Adams, Margaret (Troy) Krug, Dale (Jeanette) Henry, all of Vinton; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and her sister, Iona Languth of Palo.
     In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brenda Adams; her great-grandson, William Adams; and her three brothers.
