BLAIRSTOWN:  Sheryl Sue Eichhorn, 61, died Monday, December 14, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness.

     Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Phillips Funeral Home in Blairstown with Rev. Jack Andrews officiating.  Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.  Friends may register at the funeral home from 12:30 PM until service time on Thursday.  A Memorial Fund has been established.

     Sheryl was born January 20, 1948 at Marengo to Elmer and Garland (Gilbert) Eichhorn.  She attended school in Blairstown and graduated from Vinton's Washington High School in 1969. Sheryl had worked at the Marengo Nursing Home and Goodwill and was currently employed by Options.

     She enjoyed membership at Christian Fellowship Church in Belle Plaine and also enjoyed shopping and playing cards and Bingo.

     Sheryl is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

     Her parents and her sister, Karen Eichhorn preceded her in death.
