URBANA--Thomas "Tom" Anthony Dziewanowski, age 63, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at his residence following a brief illness.
     A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 24, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Urbana with Father David Ambrosy as Celebrant.  Interment will be held at the St. Mary's Cemetery near Urbana with Graveside Military Rites conducted by the Walter J. Meyocks American Legion Post #264 of Urbana.  Friends may call at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St, Vinton, from 4 to 7 PM on Friday and after 9 AM Saturday at the church in Urbana. A Vigil Service will begin at 7 PM on Friday evening at the funeral home.  A Memorial Fund has been established for the Urbana Ambulance.
     Tom as born October 5, 1943 at Cedar Rapids to Sylvester and Barbara (Holmes) Dziewanowski and graduated from Regis High School in Cedar Rapids.  From 1962 to 1965 he served his Nation in the US. Marine Corp. and retired from the Iowa National Guard.  Tom received a degree in Fire Science from Kirkwood Community College and served on the Cedar Rapids Fire Dept. for 23 years prior to his retirement in 1999.  He was a member of the Fireman's Union in Cedar Rapids.
     On November 26, 1965 he married Sharon E. Hill at Marion and the couple moved to Urbana four years ago.  Tom was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Urbana Ambulance Crew and the Walter J. Meyocks American Legion Post #264 since moving to Urbana.
     He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Urbana; his son, Steven Dziewanowski of Marion and his fiancée' Stacey Williams;  his daughter, Deanna Dziewanowski of Urbana and her significant other, Aaron Winter; his grandson, Zachary King and his beloved dog, Sampson.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, and his infant twin children, Anthony Allan and Angela Rae Dziewanowski.
