GARRISON:  Anthony Wayne "Tony" Mealhouse, age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, May 8, 2020 at the Garrison Cemetery.

Anthony, known as Tony to family and friends, was born on June 18, 1954 in Vinton, the son of Harold and Jeanne (Criswell) Mealhouse.  He graduated from Washington High School in Vinton in 1972.  He married Genevieve Mealhouse and the couple later divorced.

Tony worked at Kilborn Photo in Cedar Rapids prior to his retirement, and lived his entire life in Garrison until entering the care center.  He loved to repair lawnmowers and enjoyed auto racing.

Tony is survived by his brother, Harold (Diana) Mealhouse of Cedar Rapids; sister Pamela (Jim) McGuire of Quincy, IL; and two nephews, Jeffrey Vileta and Randy Vileta.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
