KEYSTONE: Ardith M. (Andresen) Lafler, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Vinton Lutheran Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Van Horne with Rev. B. Andrew Wright officiating. Interment will be at the Keystone Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone. A memorial fund has been established.
Ardith was born September 22, 1936 in Dysart, the daughter of Albert and Rosalie (Blazicek) Andresen. She graduated from Keystone High School with the Class of 1954. On her 19 th birthday, September 22, 1955 she married LaVerne "Vern" Lafler at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone. He proceeded her in death on April 6, 2005.
Ardith worked at Rockwell-Collins for 27 years and also worked as a greeter at Walmart until age 80. She was very involved in her church and community, serving as a Brownie and Cub Scout Leader and teaching 8 th grade Sunday School for many years. Ardith was a bone marrow donor in 1987. She loved to travel and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
She is survived by her children, Lane Lafler of Marion, Lynn (Chris) Lafler of Vinton, Lori Namanny of Marion; 7 grandchildren, Tara (Lee) Barron of Blairstown, Shawn (Tristin) Lafler of Palo, Tyler (Liz) Lafler of Papillion, NE, Cody (Megan) Lafler of Waverly, Logan (Alyssa) Lafler of Monroe, IA, Jeffrey Namanny of Belle Plaine, Paige Namanny of Cedar Rapids; 15 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Rebecca, Joshua, Madison, and Wade, Addison, Olivia, Macy, Carter, Hank, Elly, Donavon, and Annabella, Laiken, and Emmett; her brother, Kenneth (Carol Ann) Andresen of Johnston; sister Charlotte (Steve) Van Kerkvoorde of Ames; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Vern.
