Obituary

KEYSTONE:  Ardith Rae "Ardie" (Hansen) Junge, age 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at The Keystone Nursing Care Center with her family by her side.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 27th, 2025, at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone, with Pastor Josiah Schultz officiating. Private family interment will be held following the service at Keystone Cemetery, once the family returns a reception will follow at St. John Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday, at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.

Ardie was born on October 27, 1938, to Leland and Gertrude (Werning) Hansen. She attended Dysart High School, graduating in 1956.  She was united in marriage to Harold "Hap" Junge on September 14, 1957, at the Lutheran Church in Dysart.  Ardie worked at CRST for 17 years.  After retirement she and her husband Hap enjoyed 16 years living in Branson, Missouri, together they worked for the Dutton Family Theatre. In 2017, they moved to Cedar Rapids and currently resided in Keystone.

She took great joy in her marriage and was a devoted wife to her husband Hap.  Her family was her greatest joy, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed crocheting blankets for each of her grandchildren, who were the love of her life.

Ardie is survived by her 3 sons, Jody (Miriam) Junge of Atkins, Jerry (Crystal) Junge of Keystone, and Jeff (Becky) Junge of Atkins; grandchildren, Josh Junge, Kiley Junge, Sara (Curt) Lennie, Jessi Iverson, Raegen Junge (Trevor), Kelsie (Darrick) Olson, Travis (Emily) Junge, Casey Meyer, Celest Rickels, and Cody Kastle, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 on the way; sister, Donna Franklin; sister-in-law, Donna Hansen; and her Junge in-laws, Ray (Alice) Junge, Joan Seeck, and Darlys Rusk.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband Hap; sister, Sharon (Robert) Karr; brother Bill Hansen; and her brother-in-law John Seeck.
