URBANA: Charles Eugene Hawley, 59 passed away on June 11, 2024 at his home.

Visitation will be held at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM, on Monday June 17, 2024. Following the visitation, graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM at Urbana Cemetery.

Charles was born on September 14, 1964 to Harry and Marlene (Jones) Hawley in Vinton, Iowa. He attended Urbana High School.

He was united in marriage to Tina Larson, together they shared two sons, Brian and Chris. Charles was employed in food service at Virginia Gay Hospital, and Outback Steakhouse. He also lived and worked as a chef in both Alaska and Oregon. Charles enjoyed cooking, mowing his yard, little campfires, listening to music, and driving the Hudson Pickup. He loved his dogs dearly, and he was a huge Ohio State Buckeye Fan.

He is survived by his father, Harry (Jane) Hawley of Marion; mother, Marlene Jones of Vinton; sister, Michele (Alfredo) Ricardo of Marion; his sons, Brian (Kaitlyn) Hawley, and Chris (Megan) Hawley both of Urbana, and his grandsons, Everett and Pierce.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Merle and Lillian Jones, and his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Ruth Hawley.
