NORWAY:  Coletta D. (Becker) Frese, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Meadow View Memory Care Village in Cedar Rapids, with her children by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, November 22, 2024, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Norway, Iowa with Rev. Jacob Dunne as celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Patrick and St. Paul Cemetery near Watkins.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time Friday, also at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association (1120 Depot Ln SE #100 Cedar Rapids, IA 52401)

Coletta was born March 20, 1935, in Cedar Rapids to Bernard and Elizabeth (Stark) Becker.  She graduated from Norway High School with the class of 1953. Coletta was united in marriage to Robert Louis Frese on October 7, 1954, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Watkins.  Coletta worked at the Ced Rel Supper Club for many years as a waitress.  She truly enjoyed her co-workers and the patrons she served.

Coletta and Robert loved to play cards and were members of several card clubs.  They also loved to travel and made many trips to Branson several times a year.  Following their grandchildren's sporting events was another highlight for them.

Coletta is survived by her children, Dale Frese of Watkins, Carmen (Wayne) Gibney of Atkins; grandchildren, Adam (Molly) Frese, Alisa (Matt) Weis, Eric (Stephanie) Frese, Jared Gibney, Tyler (Lauren) Gibney; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Rowan & Atlas Frese, Kinnick & Emma Weis, Addi & Kayden Frese, Ellie Gibney; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Becker.

In addition to her parents, and husband Robert, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Becker, and Gladys (George) Fox.
