BLAIRSTOWN: Darla Kay Conway, age 58, of Blairstown, passed away peacefully with family by her side on September 9, 2021 from complications of cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne with Rev. Craig Steimel as Celebrant. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Keystone. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Monday at the Church. A memorial fund has been established.
Darla was born March 2 nd , 1963, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Ronnie and Karen (Tranberry) Duncalf. She is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Cory; her children and their families, Dustin Conway of Blairstown, Derrick (Olivia) Conway of Blairstown-their children Melah, Kellar, and Waylon, and Caitlyn Conway of Pella; Her mother, Karen Duncalf of Van Horne; sister Brenda (Scott) Barry of Cedar Rapids; brother Rodney (Christine) Duncalf of Van Horne; Father-in-Law, Don Conway of Apache Junction, AZ; In-laws, Scott (Rhonda) Conway of Cedar Rapids, Sheila (Dennis) Fontinel of Apache Junction, AZ, Melissa (Randy) Macku of Livingston, Texas; and her incredible nieces and nephews.
Darla is preceded in death by her father Ronnie Duncalf; brother Nolan Duncalf; and grandparents, Bob and Maxine Tranberry, Delbert, Agnes, & Rozella Duncalf; and mother-in-law, Linda Conway.
Darla started her career at the Keystone Care Center at the age of 15. After high school, she graduated from the St. Luke's College of Nursing and continued her career at various clinics around the area. She thoroughly loved each and every one of her patients, and was a natural caregiver.
Her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews meant the world to her. Her happiest moments were when she was surrounded by loved ones at family gatherings. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, & caregiver.
