VINTON:  David J. Dietrich, 53, passed away, Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton with Rev. Stephen Preus officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.  Interment will be held at Mound Cemetery in Watkins at a later date.   A memorial fund has been established.

David was born December 17, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, to Richard "Dick" and Shirley (Possehl) Dietrich and graduated from Washington High School in Vinton with the class of 1983.  He graduated from Hamilton Business College.  David was employed at Windstream Corporation in Hiawatha and also owned and operated Laser Productions.  In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting and working as a D.J.

David is survived by his mother Shirley Dietrich of Vinton; two brothers, Jim Dietrich of Norway and Terry (Karee) Dietrich of Fairfax; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard, and two brothers, Ricky and Jerry Dietrich.
