KEYSTONE:  Dennis Frye, age 69, died Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his home in rural Keystone.

Private family services will be held, with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, rural Keystone.

Dennis was born on March 26, 1956 in Yankton, South Dakota, the son of Herbert and Nadine (Wysuph) Frye.  He was united in marriage to Barbara Hardesty on January 30, 1982 in Iowa City.  Dennis worked as a supervisor at Midland Forge in Cedar Rapids until the plant closing.

Dennis was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and tending to his flowers.  His greatest joy was his children and grandchildren.

Dennis is survived by his son Joshua (Roni) Frye of Garrison; and his grandchildren, Colton Frye, Navaeh Lee Miller, and Klay, Harlan and Oakley Frye; 2 sisters, Judy and Lynn; and his brother Craig.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife Barbara in 2018; son Ethan in 2006; and 2 sisters, Kay and Rita.
