NEWHALL: Donna Mary (Butz) Johnson, age 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Colonial Manor of Amana with her family and her beloved dog Charlie by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 19th, 2026, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Norway, with Father Jacob Dunne and Father Joseph Butz C.S.S.R. as celebrants. Interment will be held at St. Michael's Cemetery in Norway. Friends may visit with the family prior to Mass on Friday from 9:00 until 10:45 AM, at St. Michael's.

Donna Mary Butz was born to Innocent and Martha (Mehn) Butz on September 23, 1942, in Indiana. Donna graduated from Amana High School and later attended Secretarial College.

Donna was united in marriage to Kenneth Allan Johnson on April 20, 1963, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Norway. They were married for 54 years, prior to Kenneth's death in 2017.

Donna worked as a circuit breaker technician at Square D prior to her retirement and also held a Ham Radio license due to Ken's prodding. Her preferred hobby was shopping at JC Penney's.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Ross) Petersen of Van Horne, Cindy (Jon) Intribus of Stevens Point, WI, Shellie (Shahid Rahman) Johnson of Cedar Rapids, and Susan Johnson of Cedar Rapids; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; 4 brothers, Fr. Joseph Butz C.S.S.R., David Butz, Regis Butz, and Stephen Butz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth; their son, Scott Allan Johnson; and granddaughter, Alyssa Petersen.
