Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 26, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Newhall, Iowa with Rev. Jacob Dunne as celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Patrick and St. Paul Cemetery near Watkins. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, also at the church. A memorial fund has been established.
Elaine was born August 22, 1943, to Everett and Erma (Van Fossen) Cress in rural Shellsburg. She graduated from Shellsburg High School with the class of 1961. Elaine was united in marriage to David John Boddicker on September 23, 1961, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Newhall. They were married for 44 years, prior to David's sudden passing in 2005.
Elaine was an active member at St. Paul Catholic Church, where she taught Catechism, and was a member of the choir and Altar & Rosary Society. She was active in her community as a den mother and a proud member of the Newhall Reject Band, where she expertly played the "sawed off highchair".
