VINTON: Erma Lee Jones, 77, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026 at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00PM on August 29, 2026 at Riverside Park.

Known for her spunky attitude, Erma was truly one of a kind. She was famous for her signature long fingernails and her life long love of lighthouses. She collected every sort of lighthouse souvenir you could think of. Erma lived life on her own terms, leaving behind unforgettable memories filled with love, character, and strength.

She is survived by her brother, Larry Westcott of La Porte; her three sisters, Ruth (Terry) Becker of Quasqucton, Susan (Francis) Bawden of MT. Aubern, and Wanda (Gary) Kaiser of Dubuque; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Erma was preceded in death by her preants, Chet and Leta Mae (Worthen) Westcott; her brother, Chet Paul Westcott Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Jim Scott.
