VINTON:  Jeffrey B. "Jeff" Barkdoll, 62, of Vinton, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with his loving family by his side.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 9th at the Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E. 6th Street) in Vinton from 4PM to 7PM.  Funeral services will be held Monday, November 10th at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton, with Rev. Stephen Preus officiating. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.   A memorial fund has been established.

Jeff was born on September 5, 1963, in Vinton, the son of Phillip and Darlene (Formanek) Barkdoll.  He attended grade school in Garrison and graduated from Washington High School in Vinton. On August 25, 1985, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Brenda Wolf in Vinton.

Jeff worked as a tuck-pointer and self-employed contractor.  He loved dirt track racing and drove several different cars throughout his racing career.  He and Brenda loved following their children's athletic endeavors and being a grandpa was one of his greatest joys.  He was a long time avid Hawkeye fan!

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Phillip in September, brother Jeff Hickey, and sister Kim Silver.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda; children, Ryan (Aelisha) Barkdoll, Bethany (Mitch) Maynard; grandchildren, Waikeli and Daxton Barkdoll, Diem, Brylee and Abel Curfman, Myla, Kriev and Kuno Maynard; his mothers Darlene "Dollie" Barkdoll and Linda Barkdoll; siblings, Debi (Mike) Luty, Wanda Barkdoll, Steve Barkdoll, Corky Silver, Lori Link, Susie (Ben) Randolph, Jason (Karrie) Barkdoll and Sue (Dave) Crooks.
