VINTON:  Joshua Allan Detling, age 42, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

A Private Celebration of Joshua's Life will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be directed to his sister Jenni Moody 401 Hanover Rd. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.

Joshua was born on December 15, 1982 in Cedar Rapids, to Jerold and Patricia Ann (Shaw) Detling.  He attended Benton Community High School, and worked as an auto mechanic.

Joshua enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed fishing.  He loved spending time with friends and family and working on cars.  His greatest joy was his son Jaxon, whom he dearly loved.

He is survived by his son Jaxon, of Marion; his sister, Jenni (Mike) Moody of Cedar Rapids; and his niece's and nephew, Jersey, Cylie, and Michael Moody.

Joshua was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jerold and Patricia.
