NEWHALL:  Linda Mae Meyer, age 71, of Newhall, formerly of Keystone, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at her home in Newhall.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.  Private family graveside services will be held at the Keystone Cemetery.

Linda was born on August 18, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John Herman and Darlene (Wiese) Meyer and graduated from Benton Community High School.   On March 15, 1968, she was united in marriage to Mike Kaiser at St. John Lutheran Church in Keystone, and the couple later divorced.  Linda graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing and had worked as an LPN at a number of medical clinics, most recently at Virginia Gay in Vinton.

Linda enjoyed gardening, and loved to spend time with her sisters, prior to their passing.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their school events.

She is survived by her children, Jackie (Ben) Seeck of Newhall, Shane (Michelle) Kaiser of Keystone, Zachariah Kaiser (Collette Barnes) of Cedar Rapids; her beloved grandchildren, Hunter (Lauren), Brody, Karsyn, Sophia, Brynnlee, Ashley, Tyler, Mackenzie, and AJ; brother, John (Jan) Meyer of Keystone; brother-in-law Tom Plaht of North Liberty; aunt Grace Wiese of Keystone; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Kathy Plaht, and Judy Pieper.
