LUZERNE:  Lorna Anna Johanna (Lorenz) Rieck, 93, of Luzerne passed away peacefully at the Vinton Lutheran Home on February 17, 2021 after a brief illness.

A celebration of Lorna's life will be held from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the Blairstown Community Center in Blairstown.

Lorna was born May 10, 1927 in Williamsburg, Iowa to Arnold & Emma (Huedepohl) Lorenz. She married the love of her life Martin (Matt) Rieck on October 1, 1950. She was a loving farm wife, mother and grandma.

Those left to cherish Lorna's memory are her son, Leland (Sabra) Rieck, Palo; two daughters, Barbara (Steve) Manternach, Watkins, and Lori (Kelyn) VonAhsen, Newhall; five grandchildren, Tara (Clark) Grell, Matthew (Bri Brown) Rieck, Jessica (Mitch Walker) Manternach, David (Danielle) Manternach, Kathryn (Nick) Hafner; and two great-grandsons, Peyton Rieck and Easton Manternach.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two daughters, Cheryl Rieck and Lynn Leighton; granddaughter, Debra Manternach; and two brothers, Hilbert Lorenz and Melvin Lorenz.

The family would like to thank the Vinton Lutheran Home for all of their passionate care with Lorna.
