CEDAR RAPIDS: Louise Florence Zimmerman, 77, passed away peacefully Friday, October 9, 2026, at her home in Cedar Rapids.

Louise was born on March 20, 1949, to Clifford and Kathryne (Fackler) Esterday. She graduated from Van Orin High School in Illinois and went on to build a life centered around family, friendship, and simple joys.

She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family was the heart of her life, and she treasured every opportunity to gather with loved ones and create lasting memories. She also enjoyed gardening, visiting garage and estate sales, spending time with friends, and trying her luck at the casino whenever she had the chance.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her children, Wendy (Tony) Wiebold, Mike (Angie) Carver, and Chad (Tisha) Carver; grandchildren Tiffany (Jake Swearingen) Banghart, Jamee (Sawyer Digman) Wiebold, Ellie (Kyle) Wright, Colton Carver, Ava Carver, Fawn Carver, Corey Renfer, Kayla Renfer, Holly (Gerrick Smith) Mere, and Jacob (Bailey) Mere; seven great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Clifford (Sandy) Esterday, Connie (Mark) Keller, Arlene Philp, and Anita Esterday.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Kathryne Esterday; her grandson, Nathan Wiebold; and her siblings, Judy Harris, George Esterday, and Billy Esterday.

Louise will be remembered for her love of family, her enjoyment of life's simple pleasures, and the many memories she leaves behind for those who knew and loved her.
