SHELLSBURG:  Lucille A. (Tracy) Spurgeon, age 101, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Unity Point, St. Luke's Hospice in Cedar Rapids.

Lucille, known as Tracy, was born on July 2, 1919 in Sioux City, the daughter of Albert and Helen (Wilson) Tracy.  She graduated from Spencer High School with the class of 1937.  On November 29, 1944, she was united in marriage to Henry Spurgeon in Des Moines.  The couple lived much of their married life in Des Moines and then in Clinton AR following retirement.  Following Henry's death in 1990, Tracy returned to Iowa. She lived in Shellsburg over 20 years before moving to Keystone Cedars in Cedar Rapids.

She is survived by her son, William (Sherry) Spurgeon of Tucson, AZ; her daughter, Patricia Morrow of Denver, CO; and niece Karolyn (Nate) Roehr of Shellsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry; brother Milton Tracy; and sister Flohna Arthur.

Private family interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg.  A celebration of Tracy's life will be held at a later date.
