BLAIRSTOWN: Mark James Elm, 39, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Blairstown on August 2nd.
No services are planned at this time.
Mark was born on November 7, 1986, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Steven and Kristy (Aswegan) Elm. He was a self-employed flooring installer for more than 10 years, working alongside his longtime best friend, Derek Counter. Together they built not only a successful business, but also a friendship that endured through the years.
Mark never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with friends, whether it was playing darts, pool, cards—especially poker—or simply sharing laughs. He had a deep love for music and could often be found singing along to just about any song played at full volume. He also enjoyed fishing and treasured the time he spent with his children, especially during family game nights filled with laughter and friendly competition.
Mark will be remembered for his infectious smile, his larger-than-life personality, and the way he made those around him feel welcome and loved. His presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his children, Emily Elm, Case Elm, Peyton Elm, and Braxton Elm; his stepchildren, Riley Forrester, Makenzie Belez, Kean Campbell, and Kale Campbell; the mothers of his children, Leigh Elm, Amy Stone, and Rhonda Toney; his siblings, Shawn Harms, Lisa Elm Stochi, Paula Elm, and Julie Elm Clair; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Kristy Elm, and his grandparents, Richard and Francis Elm.
