VINTON:  Pearl Margaret Irmiter, age 103, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023 at the Vinton Lutheran Home with her daughter by her side.

There will be a private family graveside service at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Vinton.  Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, in care of the church.

Pearl was born on December 27, 1919 in Hospers, Iowa the daughter of Cyril and Catherine (Boever) Haag. She graduated from Ledyard High School in 1937.

Pearl was united in marriage to Willard Irmiter on January 3, 1946 in St. Paul, MN.  Willard preceded Pearl in death in 2000.  Pearl worked at the Iowa Braille and Sight saving School for 10 years.  She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton.

Pearl is survived by her daughter Marcene; son-in-law Ron; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Willard; daughter, Marita; 4 sisters; and 5 brothers.
