VINTON: Randall Scott Salzmann, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Virginia Gay Hospital with his family by his side.

Private family graveside services will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Blairstown.

"Randy" was born December 28, 1956 in Wells, Minnesota to Merlyn "Squirt" and Shirley (Breitkreutz) Salzmann. He graduated from Wells–Easton High School in 1975.  Randy married Lynn Emrud, and they had 2 daughters, Andrea, and Danielle.  The couple later divorced.  On September 30, 1989, he married Kris Hilsabeck at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vinton.  The couple had 1 daughter Stephanie.

Randy worked as a director of environmental services for many years for Servicemaster.  He worked at Virginia Gay Hospital from 1986 through 1993.  Randy was very proud of his 3 daughters and took pride in everything he did.

He is survived by his wife Kris of Vinton; 3 daughters, Andrea (Charlie Donnells) Salzmann of Minnesota, Danielle (Shamsher) Kahn of Texas, and Stephanie "Stevi" (D.J. Stander) Salzmann of Vinton; and his sister, LuAnn Novak of Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his special dog "Macks"
