WATERLOO:  Randy P. Primmer-Farber, age 67, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A private family graveside service will be held at Bear Creek Cemetery near Vinton.

Randy was born on September 2, 1956, in Vinton.  Randy and Robert Farber began their 41-year relationship in 1982.  Randy and Bob were united in marriage on February 14, 2013, in Waterloo.

Randy was known nationally and internationally as a breeder of Persian show cats.  Through the years he has bred over 130 grand champions, as well as many national winning cats.  Randy also enjoyed gardening and tending to his flowers and plants.

He is survived by his husband Robert; 2 brothers, Rick (Susie) Primmer of Walker, Jimmy (Tracie) Walker of Brandon; sister, Robyn Stander of Vinton; 3 nephews; 1 niece; 2 great-nephews; and 2 great-nieces.
